Point. Scan. Know.

No barcode needed — PawCheck reads the label itself, exactly as printed.

STEP 1

Point at any product

Food, treats, chews, supplements, shampoo, toys — snap the front, then the ingredients panel, in the store aisle or your own pantry.

STEP 2

AI reads the label

Vision AI transcribes the brand, recipe and every ingredient — verbatim, never guessed. If the label isn't legible, it asks for a retake instead of making things up.

STEP 3

Get your pet's score

A deterministic rules engine scores 0–100 against your pet's profile — every point accounted for, on screen. Multiple pets? One scan scores them all, side by side.

Try it right here

See a scan, live

Pick a product, set your pet's allergy, and scan. Notice how the same product scores differently for different pets — that's the whole point.

More than a scanner

A wellness hub built around your pet

The home screen adapts to each pet you add — dog, cat or small pet — their age, size, allergies and health conditions — and fills with genuinely useful guidance.

  • Supplement picks ranked for your pet — with a visible "why" on every card
  • An allergy watch-list of sneaky label names ("whey" is dairy, "corn gluten meal" is corn)
  • A vitamin cheat sheet, life-stage checklists and seasonal safety tips
  • Made for dogs, cats and small pets — every profile gets its own picks

"Why 92?" always has an answer

Scores aren't AI vibes. A fixed, versioned rules engine computes every score, and the app shows its work: +5 named protein first, −18 contains your pet's allergen, −25 active recall.

  • Same product + same pet = the identical score, forever
  • Safer alternatives suggested on every scan
  • Compare any two products side by side

Real alternatives, price-matched

When something scores poorly, PawCheck finds three real, better-rated products in the same price range — verified free of your pet's allergens — each with its own full score breakdown and one-tap links to buy.

  • Same category, similar price — never an $80 upsell on a $30 scan
  • Every suggestion re-scored by the same rules engine, for your pet
  • Tap through to Chewy, Amazon or Petco and buy it on the spot

Recall radar

Every scan is checked for recalls

Recall status comes from a curated list of FDA animal & veterinary recalls, plus a live check using Google's Gemini AI with Google Search for recall notices about that exact product. A recall only counts if it names that brand and product line — and anything found is shown right on the result, with its source.

Recall found — Rawhide Twists
May 2026 · FDA · Potential Salmonella contamination found in routine testing.
The accuracy contract

Built so it can't make things up

Most AI apps ask you to trust a black box. PawCheck is architected the opposite way.

AI identifies. Rules score.

The AI's only job is reading the label. The 0–100 comes from a deterministic rules engine — the AI never authors a score, so scores can't drift or hallucinate.

Recalls, with sources

Recall status comes from a curated list of FDA recalls plus a live Google Search check for notices about that exact product — and every recall shown names its source.

Honest about uncertainty

Blurry label? Cut-off ingredient panel? The app asks for a retake instead of guessing — and "Not right?" reporting keeps improving matches.
